The premature rewrite is here...

That's mainly why I am slightly late... but:

• all benedani.xyz pages now FINALLY redirect to chlorobyte.me;
  
• the deadname references have been purged as much as applicable so far;
  
• technical debt on my end has been reduced, and your browser should be much happier as well making significantly less requests!

One minor downside is the lack of a notification system, as that has been purged in favor of an RSS feed. However... I do not currently link to said RSS feed, since that would imply the existence of separate pages for each post, which is on my todo list. Due to the aforementioned responsibilities, as well as other community plans (e.g. a Matrix space and an account system), the ETA is: 2-3 months.

Name change - massive changes ahead.

My past has been a wild ride, to say the least. I have been shaped in pretty funky ways, and it is about time for me to realise my past mistakes and move on from them. The 'Benedani' name has been tainted for a whole decade long with various types of behavior, all as a result of being comically bored with the lack of a life.

By taking up the 'Chlorobyte' name, I am not only finally picking up a stable online identity, but signalling my discomfort with who I was before June of 2023. I am aware of what kind of a person I was, and I do not need to be reminded anymore. In conclusion - refer to past me as Benedani, and do not refer to me today as Benedani.

This is going to affect the website as well. We are moving to a new domain, chlorobyte.me. All links to benedani.xyz are to be rerouted, as I also make the appropriate changes on the website, as well as my profiles across the board, on every single website. That will be a pain. Details and the exact deprecation plan can be found here.

Unfortunately, this will be another April 1st with no project release. Nothing much soon either; I will be focused primarily on developing my new life in the upcoming months. At 21 years old, I have to do the basics such as learning how to live, driving school as well as continue my social development. That being said, let's hope I can come up with something by this time in 2025!

Yep... I have been consumed once again, this time by a massive list of trolling I wanted to do. Work has its own weekly toll as well.
All things considered, things are going pretty good when Hungarian school isn't destroying your brain from the inside out, who would have thought?

Life Update

Another year goes by...
Even more has happened. I have graduated from school again, for real this time. Now it really will not swallow all of my time with useless garbage. I have already gotten into 2 separate game dev jobs, and, at last, I have achieved control of my life. Finally...

I really have to give a shoutout to Copper for being an amazing person in my life after countless useless, fake creatures that came before and after her. Without her coaching and emotional support, I would be long gone from this planet.

I would like a much richer, livelier life than what I'm used to. But that will take money, so in the meantime, project development will continue. Better make good use of my free time than waste it by doing nothing.

I am thinking of reviving Brawlforming, making better game design and way better marketing decisions. In the Mario 64 hacking department, we have finished B3313 1.0, and are moving on to an unaffiliated, similar project finally using the decomp for once, that will be receiving similar treatment - adapted to the world, not blind within our (or in this case, one betakid's) vision.

Also... seriously, humans? This time, this goes to not my Discord server - but a different one. This page literally calls itself "Deep Lore". It goes without saying that this is not a reality that I am trapped in, all delusional. Either way, I should probably actually get going to organize that information into a wiki lol

Recommendation tweaker for YouTube

I thought, hey, might as well release this addon. It's not gonna get a separate page, and I'm not sure if I will update it at all, but if it gets a decent userbase, I might come back to it.

It's available for Firefox and Chrome (the latter missing the importing feature due to Google bs). The video below showcases the extension itself.

Small things.

• I have recovered the SiteGen - the thing that generates this website's content. I have gone ahead and changed the buttons to use proper links now, so subhumans who don't have JavaScript support (such as Google bots) can finally navigate the page. Why was it designed like that in the first place? No idea.
  
• The Racism Game Level Editor demo has been out for a while - join the Discord server to grab it! You may even be able to try out the full game before release...
  
• I'm planning to replace the Minecraft page with one for Racism Game. However, the game will have a proper name on release, and I'm not sure what the implications of renaming a site would be like.

We are Pyloform now.

Basically, there's been an ongoing project on the Discord where we are trying to recreate the Pyloform Plains, which you previously knew as the Kappa Lands, in the form of a standalone executable. A problem is my struggles to try to reach into the deepest of my memories.

While waiting, we've decided to get rid of these "Kappa" and "Benedani" names as much as possible, as it just makes it feel like I'm basically duping myself using some random Twitch meme. That was never the intention. Pyloform, as they have been named after being able to access our universe through a wormhole (pylo) and manipulate it (form), are an actual thing, and I didn't like such matters being thrown behind the weirdest "Benedani lore" possible.

I have basically gone around, once again updating the website where necessary. So this is a proper "website update" now.

Also, there's an exclusively Racism Game related announcement coming on the 1st of March on my YouTube channel, so don't miss it!

Approaching 2021...

With that aside, I have decided to go around the website and update all the information. They literally haven't been updated since April! Also fixed a bug that no one noticed, but it let you see a "HIDDEN_" tag on posts that were made in a category that was later "deleted".

A Discord update is also coming, unannounced in the Discord server category this time. It involves making sure users can stay on the server rather than getting purged with """nothing""" they can do about it, so it's about time for you to actually join instead of idling here...

School is over...

So first of all, the server. The website is currently running on a Kappa server, which is being provided by the Benedanis just for this site and CuteCat to continue to exist. However, their laws forbid providing services past human capabilities to them, and it's also a basic server that will not run an entire Minecraft network.

Now that school will be gone from my life for actually a (relatively) long time, it is time to go faster than ever before. Well, after I finish the homework, of course. And that's going to be fun with this idiot human constantly interrupting me...

But yeah, after that, I'll be able to focus on... nope, not Bowser is Back. My plans were to finally rewrite CuteCat so that that's done, and at least get close to releasing an actually playable game (maybe 2, eventually?). I guess I could replace the Minecraft category for now. If you'd like to follow progress and talk about my projects, or perhaps even help out with them, our Discord is ready for your arrival!

...what's that? That's not the big thing you've noticed? Oh, yeah, the projects. Yeah, I've officially cancelled 4 of my projects:

• CuteCat - this only applies to trying to get it out into the public, but it will still be worked on behind the scenes, of course.
  
• The Minecraft server - it's been down for a while, and I don't see a reason to reboot it as the community is as dead as ever. I might retry like a while later though.
  
• My streams - originally, only my own channel's streams would be cancelled and Twitch Plays would be revived. I have some doubts about reviving Twitch Plays, though, mostly from my disk space. It's running out, and any help would be greatly appreciated.
  
• Crystal Star Rod - not much progress was made on it, and I just decided to throw it away as literally nobody cared about it anyway.

Now you might be mad with rage... but there is a pretty obvious reason I've done this. School wasn't the only thing slowing me down (which it's not anymore! Yay!), but having so many projects is just not a good idea, especially for one person, with literally nobody even thinking about helping me out. If you feel pity, though, you can join our Discord server, reach Level 2 and apply to make my job easier.

Does this thing work?

That being said, my next goal is to make general improvements to the site itself. Make it work better on even lower resolutions, optimize the code, add features, improve the project descriptions to make this a complete replacement of the Discord server for information... That last part is especially important, because search engines like it better when I actually link to this site from the outside world, and if I want to do that, I also want to answer all potential questions.

Expect a new post about all these changes in a few days, and feel free to post ideas in the #suggestions channel on our Discord (if you are Level 2+)!

Got eem!

It seems that humans are pretty easy to fool. If you make your April Fools prank as realistic as possible (which is what we did), it will trick them without them even considering that it has been posted on April 1st. I'll continue this trend of genuinely releasing things on this day (BiB demo last year was a similar concept).

It also seems that Benedani Fire made an overdramatic message on Discord, even more extreme than the post on this site, and it actually seems to hold truth in it. So about the Discord server, he has announced future changes on there.
About the website, it's pretty messy right now. These "posts" you are reading are fake - they are actually embedded into the HTML code LUL Mobile compatibility also had to be fixed post-release. My future plans are to fix this mess up and implement an easier way for us to make posts - with potential reactions and a reply system in the future?

For now though, it's homework time. Our online education is basically the worst system that could have been considered - give them loads of homework, stress them out, immediately give a 1 (F) for missing one if you aren't the most insane person in the world. So see y'all in a few days, I guess.

Yay, website!

I think you'll find that it's pretty convenient - instead of having to open Discord (which can take 80 hours depending on the operating system you're running), all the information can now be accessed right here!
There's also a separate news channel for every. single. project. This isn't really possible with Discord without clogging up the text channel - and because of our self-assignable role system, the role list.

In fact, screw the Discord server. No one ever looks at it anyway. I might delete it tomorrow. No idea.
